Funding Municipalities

Objetivo:

Provide BDMG credit to the municipalities of Minas Gerais in order to:

 

  • Make feasible urban infrastructure works, purchase of machinery and equipment, renewable energy projects, improvements to public buildings, basic sanitation and much more.
  • Assistance to municipalities in a state of urgency or disaster to retake economic activity.
  • Support for public investments in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

BDMG offers several financing lines for the municipalities of Minas Gerais to invest in infrastructure works, sustainable development, prevention of natural disasters, construction and improvement of roads, acquisition of equipment and vehicles, among others.

BDMG Municipalities 2026 Public Call

The BDMG Municipalities 2026 Public Call brings major updates, such as an extended deadline and a single financing line, aimed at supporting municipalities in the implementation of projects that promote sustainability and climate change adaptation. The Public Call also facilitates access to credit for municipalities, including the advance of part of the contracted amount, an increased financing limit, and differentiated terms. In addition, the new Public Call offers credit to support infrastructure and enable the acquisition of machinery and equipment. It is agile credit, with competitive rates and terms.

 

  • Advance of up to 40% of the bid amount: After bid approval, the first installment will be released, corresponding to 40% of the bid amount.
  • Simplification of financing lines: Facilitates access to credit for municipalities. NEW!
  • Renewable energy generation and energy efficiency projects.
  • Infrastructure projects related to tourism, culture, and sports.
  • Urban infrastructure works and rural roads.
  • Acquisition of road machinery and equipment.
  • Water supply, sewage, and solid waste solutions.

Paraopeba Sanitation Program

Paraopeba Sanitation Program

The Program aims to achieve universal sanitation in the municipalities* within the Paraopeba Basin affected by the Córrego do Feijão dam failure.

The Program will be implemented through two main pillars:

 

  • Allocation of non-reimbursable funds for construction projects, development of plans and designs, consultancy services, and the acquisition of machinery, equipment, and land.
  • Free technical support for the municipality to plan and execute the works and projects it decides to undertake.

The initiative is carried out with funds from the Brumadinho Reparations Agreement, signed by the Government of Minas Gerais, the Minas Gerais State Prosecutor’s Office (MPMG), the Federal Prosecutor’s Office (MPF), and the Public Defender’s Office of Minas Gerais (DPMG). The dam failure claimed the lives of 272 people and caused extensive social and environmental damage.
